Blocked fallopian tubes are responsible for 20% of cases of female infertility. This silent condition is usually not discovered until you try to get pregnant. Or what’s worse, should the sperm be able to reach the egg and fertilization occurs, the blocked fallopian tubes increase your risk of an ectopic pregnancy.
It is with pleasure that I introduce to you Paul Tukey, the founder of SafeLawns.org and the executive producer of A Chemical Reaction. Pesticides, as you’ll find out, are detrimental to your health, the health of your children and your pets. The far-reaching damage to our health and the health of our ecosystem doesn’t stop here. It goes beyond, into our cellular structure, damaging our blueprint – the DNA. Studies are linking infertility (hormonal imbalances, abnormal sperm parameters, PCOS, endometriosis, miscarriages) and birth defects to pesticide exposure via skin contact, air, water and food. This is a truly important issue which only you as an individual can help solve by making an educated choice and by teaching those closest to you. Paul will now tell you about the Chemical Reaction – the story you need to hear:

Secondary infertility causes are often as mysterious as unexplained infertility. Secondary infertility is just as emotionally painful as primary infertility. In some ways one could argue it’s even more painful than primary infertility as couples are more reluctant to seek help. Between 30-40 percent of couples seeking help for infertility are experiencing secondary infertility. Somehow we assume, just because we got pregnant once it’ll happen again. Unfortunately, just because you were fertile 3 years ago doesn’t guarantee you’re fertile now.
Essential Oils can help you get pregnant!
Owing to stress and stagnant lifestyles, more and more women are falling prey to infertility every day. What follows is a rigorous treatment involving hormones and other medication which causes a lot of stress to the mind and body. Being unable to conceive causes immense anxiety and frustration which only grows with time – this worsens the hormonal imbalance and further reduces a woman’s chances of becoming a mother.
If you can’t get pregnant then you must become aware of this insidious and widespread substance which can not only make you infertile but has been shown to contribute to breast cancer.
Stay Clear From Parabens
What are parabens?
Parabens are a group of chemicals (methylparaben E218, ethylparaben E214, propylparaben E216, butylparaben- no number) with widespread use from cosmetic and personal hygiene industries to food and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Why are they used?
Parabens are antimicrobial and antifungal which makes them an ideal preservative in so many products.
Where are they found?
There is extensive research that proves stress has a negative impact on fertility. Many times the impact is not incorporated into treatments and procedures that women do to help them conceive. Joanne Verkuilen Founder and Co-CEO of Circle + Bloom started Circle + Bloom to give women the opportunity to take more control of their fertility and give them a program designed specifically to address this overlooked link. The program is Circle + Bloom Mind + Body Fertility Program and is based on medical and scientific research and encompasses a proven method to create a mind + body connection to bring about real changes in the body. Bernie Seigel, M.D., NEW YORK Times best-selling author of “Love, Medicine & Miracles” endorses the program. You can gain more information at www.circlebloom.com.

This substance in its refined form has only been present in the human diet for less than 300 years yet the average American now consumes 160 pounds of it each year! It is an anti-nutrient because it leaches nutrients needed for its digestion, from your system, damaging health and fertility in the process. What is this fertility anti-nutrient? It’s refined white sugar and even in small quantities it can put your body into hormonal and biochemical chaos for several hours.
A complete natural fertility treatment encompasses the best of ancient Chinese and Ayurvedic traditions. Acupuncture for fertility has been used by Chinese women for centuries. In recent years acupuncture has become more widely practiced in the west due to greater awareness of eastern healing modalities and scientific research proving the existence of energy channels called meridians. Meridians run along our body and are covered with small energy points which when stimulated by pressure (acupressure) or by a tiny needle (acupuncture) promote the flow of life force or energy called Qi.

Stress and infertility do not mix. We know that. The difficult part, however, is to figure out how best to remove it from the equation. For the most part, stress is not addressed in conjunction with fertility treatments and procedures. Most fertility specialists are now coming to terms with the fact that they need to start addressing this issue in a more direct manner. And we know that everyone experiences some level of stress; but the stress inherent in the TTC process can be truly overwhelming.
Wouldn’t it be nice if there was one food which could beat infertility and speed up your time to pregnancy? A food that was rich in key minerals and nutrients required for: hormonal balance, regular ovulation, plump healthy eggs and strong healthy sperm…
Yes, in our busy lives on the go, with little or no time to prepare a variety of healthy foods (not to mention sourcing organic food that’s not depleted in nutrients) it would be absolutely fantastic if you could have just one thing you could eat or drink daily to boost your fertility and increase your chances of falling pregnant each month.
Natural fertility boosters can offer you a helping hand if you’re planning a baby or are trying to conceive.
Could male infertility problems be linked to female urine?
The International Federation of Catholic Medical Association recently blamed the rise in male infertility problems on female urine containing residues of oral contraceptive - the pill.
This sparked a debate and was dismissed by a Contraceptive Research Association, claiming that the excess estrogen observed in men is due to plastic (xenoestrogens which behave in the body like the real estrogens) and meat and not due to the pill. And while the meat and plastic argument is also true, what’s interesting to note (the ongoing war between religion and science aside) is that there is some truth to the urine theory. This is despite the fact that the Contraceptive Research Association, would be expected to have a biased view on this as the contraceptive industry stands to lose a lot of money if women stopped using the pill.
Ohhh I’m so angry because I just discovered a pregnancy system scam and feel so bad for the poor women who’ve
been ripped off. However I’m glad to be able to warn you and other women out there not to fall for the same tricks. I was just sent links to couple of programs which claim to cure PCOS, infertility, acne etc… The marketing material looks identical and all programs are published by the same company. Not only does the marketing material lambast the proven natural methods (as well as drugs and medical approaches) they also claim to perform miracles. At first I was curious, then appalled by the unprofessional language which only discredits the company. But you’d never thought that there is a company behind it unless you read the fine print. You see these programs claim to be written by different men and women. Yet somehow the different programs supposedly written by two different people got the same testimonials for different ailments. In one testimonial where the same woman is featured the pregnancy took place at the age of 44 while the other says the age 39. This company also has other products on the market for various health conditions, all claiming they are written by ‘experts’ who suffered from those conditions and who spent 14, 12 ect… years studying and researching their individual problems.

Natural Fertility? Natural What?
Recently I was contacted by a TV station in the US. They’re doing a show on infertility treatments and found my website. The show producer rang me to have a chat about natural fertility as he hadn’t heard of it and wanted to know exactly what it was.
As a naturopath with many friends who are also naturopaths it hadn’t occurred to me that some people may not understand what the term natural fertility really means.
So, what is Natural Fertility and what’s it got to do with your pregnancy?
In my recent survey you asked some great fertility questions. Thanks for asking these questions as some apply to many others. So here are the answers, but before we dive into the Q&A’s, remember I’d be delighted to work with you personally. So feel free to email me, I’d love to help you beyond the answers in this post.
1. Does blood pressure have an effect on fertility?
Have you ever consider the importance of what to eat when trying to get pregnant?
I’m often asked what to eat when pregnant but do you realize that what you eat in the months leading up to pregnancy (when trying to get pregnant) is just as important if not more important than what to eat once you’re pregnant?
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), human infertility and sterility are on the rise.
Why is this happening?
If you’re interested in the environment and been following the news on the rapid decline of wildlife and plant species, then you’ll probably understand what’s starting to happen to human fertility.
Oh how we love the convenience of our little gadgety helpers. Abracadabra and in 20 min your frozen chicken is sitting on your dinner table steam vapor spiraling to the ceiling. But have you ever stopped and wondered: ‘is my convenient microwave oven safe for my fertility?’ We can whip things up in the kitchen in no time. Our great, great grandmothers would think we possessed magical powers to be able to defrost, boil and bake food within minutes. However the microwave ovens which make this magic possible are not as harmless and safe as we have been led to believe.
Literally thousands of different food additives are used in processed food all over the world. We often assume they’re safe for our health and fertility as they are tested and approved for use. The trouble with the testing and approval processes for conditions like Infertility is that it’s difficult to test for the impact of substances on chronic conditions (infertility is generally a chronic condition). The testing and approval process can’t easily reveal long term effects. Later when evidence emerges of a substance’s dangerous health effects the law often protects companies more than individuals. Rich corporations are often able to use their influence to continue profitable activities long after it becomes clear that there are serious risks to human health. Cigarettes are the most obvious example but there are many, many others. There are many ethical companies, but the profit motive is strong and there are still some, very powerful corporations which will put the bottom line before your health and the health of the Planet. This is why we need to take control of our own health, not assume the government will protect us and question what we are consuming.
Infertility affects more couples than ever. 1 out of 6 couples today experience difficulty falling pregnant. What was once seen as a woman’s problem is now known to affect men equally. But what are the causes of infertility and what can be done to address them naturally?
But isn’t there IVF to fall back on?
When we take a closer look at IVF it is far less safe and less effective than we are often led to believe. As well as being invasive and prohibitively expensive for many, IVF treatments carry a substantial health risk to both the mother and baby.

In this article I’ll introduce some of the ways in which it is possible to shrink fibroids naturally.
What are Fibroids?
Fibroids are benign growths in the uterus, usually in the muscle wall. They can be asymptomatic (one is not aware that there is one or more) or they can cause heavy bleeding and pain. Depending on where they are located they may or may not interfere with implantation and pregnancy. However they can grow as a result of hormonal surges during pregnancy and can cause miscarriages or “be in the way” during birth. Fibroids tend to have a large number of estrogen receptors and tend to proliferate when estrogen levels are high.
Is there a link between alcohol and fertility? Alcohol is not such a harmless drug as we are sometimes lead to believe. Just because it’s socially acceptable (or even expected) it does not mean you should abuse it. As with any habit forming substance the line between a social drink and abuse can be blurred depending on your general health, gender and physical, mental and emotional characteristics. A few after-work drinks with colleagues, a couple of drinks at dinner and a regular outing with your best friends on the weekend can soon lead to a drink too many for optimal health and fertility. If you cant get pregnant after trying for six months or more I advise you to avoid alcohol entirely. Here’s why.

This article discusses the link between coffee and fertility. This is because coffee is one of the most common sources of caffeine in our diet and there is a link between caffeine and fertility. We’ll look at that link and what you can do to reduce or eliminate coffee from your diet for the sake of your fertility.
What is Caffeine
Caffeine is known as trimethylxanthine, coffeine, theine, mateine, guaranine, methyltheobromine and 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine. It is a xanthine alkaloid found naturally in coffee beans, tea, kola nuts, Yerba mate, guarana berries, and in cacao beans. For the plant, caffeine acts as a natural pesticide since it paralyzes and kills some of the insects that try to feed on the plant.
Caffeine’s main actions on the body

This article introduces getting pregnant with endometriosis through a natural treatment. Evidence shows endometriosis can respond well to diet and other non-invasive adjustments.
What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a painful condition which can impact fertility, in which endometrial tissue, which lines the uterus, can appear in the pelvic cavity and elsewhere in the body where it doesn’t belong. Endometriosis is one of the most frequent diseases in gyneacology, affecting 15-20% of women in their reproductive life, contributing to 5% cases of infertility.
Scientists do not know exactly how the tissue ends up where it doesn’t belong but there are a number of theories which I mention below.
This article discusses how hypothyroidism and fertility are related and some strategies for addressing it naturally.
What’s a thyroid gland and how’s it connected to your fertility?
The thyroiid gland is one of the seven endocrine glands, and it’s located at the base of your throat (behind Adam’s apple). Your thyroid gland is in charge of metabolism and energy production in the body. A bit like an electricity generator. In your early life and in utero it was involved in your brain development and organ differentiation. Later in your life it took control of your metabolism.

PCOS infertility is the most common cause of infertility today. In this article you’ll learn what is PCOS and how you can treat PCOS infertility naturally.
PCOS – What is it?
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome aka Polycystic Ovarian Disease manifests in multiple cysts covering the ovaries, filled with immature follicles (eggs) accompanied by hormonal abnormalities and irregularities in ovulation and menstruation. This is a metabolic condition associated with insulin resistance and glucose intolerance.
What are the symptoms?
Common symptoms are failure to ovulate, acne, obesity, menstrual irregularities and hirsutism (hair growth on skin). Severe cases manifest with all of the symptoms while mild and moderate cases only have some.

Have you ever stopped and wondered if there is a link between stress and infertility? In this article you’ll see the link as well as learn a method to address stress in minutes.
The ancients left us a lot of timeless wisdom when it comes to health and wellbeing. Unfortunately in our fast paced instant gratification world we don’t find time to embrace some of the old truths.
Fertility as you are probably aware by now if a sign of a balanced and well nourished body. Sub-fertility and infertility are a sign of a body in need of some TLC.
‘It’s hard when it doesn’t come easy’ – A heartfelt song by Dixie Chicks sums up in one sentence what infertility feels like.
Is there an unexplained infertility treatment? That’s a hard question to answer because there are many possible causes.
If you’ve been trying to conceive for a few months now and are wondering why your period keeps showing up you may be suffering from unexplained infertility. We’ll look at the areas you could be overlooking.
Mind – Body Connection
When we speak of causes of infertility we rarely think about our jobs. Being a stunt man or a cliff diver or an extreme sport professional can be dangerous for life. People in those occupations are aware of the dangers and do it for love.
However there are many other occupations we may do for love or out of necessity which are dangerous to your health without you being aware of this.
Many couples see pregnancy as a good reason to get healthy. However for most the process only begins when the doctor has confirmed the pregnancy. This article looks at preparing your body for pregnancy and why getting healthy only once you are pregnant is not such a good idea.
Is this you?
‘I’ll quit smoking once I’m pregnant’
‘I’ll stop drinking alcohol once I’m pregnant’
‘I’ll stop eating junk food once I’m pregnant’
‘When I’m pregnant I’ll eat whatever I like’
‘I’ll cut down coffee or stop drinking it altogether once I’m pregnant’
