How Not to Cook Your Eggs for Easter

easterHappy Easter!

Easter got it’s name from the Goddess Eostre or Ostara, a germanic Goddess of fertility and rebirth. It is also the Christian celebration of rebirth and renewal.

It coincides with the emergence of spring, warmer weather, longer days, shorter nights and the return of fertility to the northern hemisphere.

It’s also no coincidence that Easter is preceded by lent – or giving up something that’s not so good for our health. After the lent we nourish and celebrate our fertility with a symbolic Easter feast of eggs and special bread baked in the form of a dove – a symbol of peace. Maybe we should pay more attention to the ancient holidays and their meaning and use the wisdom and the natural cycles to honor and celebrate our fertility.

As this year is all about becoming pregnant I urge you to take the necessary steps to prepare you and your partners body for a successful pregnancy!
