Life’s Lessons
It took a sports coach for me to grasp an important lesson which I’d like to share with you.
Focus on the path and not the goal. We can often become overly goal orientated, obsessing about our goals too much. Enjoy the process. Internal achievements are what we take with us, not just the external ones. Forget the goal, don’t look over your shoulder at your opponent, but focus on your path. Play your game and allow the chips to fall as they may.
These words of wisdom teach you to become the person you need to be to be able to reach your goal without making the transformation a chore, a grueling task.
Trying to conceive can be a grueling task. Many dietary and lifestyle changes can be seen as a chore you just want to get over and done with. However this attitude is not only making your present situation more difficult than it needs to be, but is also setting the stage for disappointment if the goal can not be reached in spite of all the effort. Change your attitude and your world will change. The changes you are making are good for you and your health regardless of whether or not there will be a baby at the end of the road.
