Media Exposure

I’ve been thinking recently about ways to spread the word on natural fertility.megaphone

As you know I’ve set an ambitious goal for 2009 – ‘To help 500 couples get pregnant in 2009′ and I’m going to need some media exposure to achieve it.

Just couple of days ago I read an article on a shocking IVF mix-up in London’s ‘Diana, Princess of Wales center for reproductive medicine’. To cut a long story short. A woman received the ‘good’ fertilized eggs from another woman by mistake, and the woman whose eggs they were received the other woman’s ‘poor’ quality eggs. Both had to have strong drugs to prevent pregnancies from occurring.

I felt awful about those women who, not only went though grueling IVF procedure, but then also had their dream shattered with a chemical abortion. The damage that those strong drugs may have caused; first to get their bodies in a state to be pregnant, and then, to prevent them from remaining pregnant, is horrendous.

This story only strengthened my resolution to spread the word about natural fertility and I’m not alone in my crusade. Dr. Geeta Nargund, a leading infertility and IVF specialist also strongly recommends that women and men faced with infertility should first use the natural options before turning to IVF.

So help me spread the word, and, if you know of a radio station looking for someone new to interview, or if you have any other ideas, please let me know below – thanks :)
